C'est aujourd'hui une des dernières barges en état de fonctionnement, on la voit désormais aux larges des côtes lors des commémorations du 6 juin 1944.

Malgré cela, ils sont toujours à la recherche de fonds pour continuer l'entretien et les différents travaux pour maintenir son état de conservation.

After intensive much work and care, our non-profit association “CHALLENGE LCVP - Higgins Boat” now operates afloat since 2008 what appears to be the last seaworthy Higgins boat LCVP landing craft in Europe.

We are now proud to be able to present to a large public this witness of History, the boat participating yearly at D-Day commemorations ceremonies in Normandy.

In order that the LCVP remains longlastingly in proper shape now on, we have currently engaged this winter a new step of restoration work on the PA30-4, consisting this time in the replacement of the outer bottom  planking of the boat.

After gaining many supports in France we continue our quest to cover the work cost and balance our budget.
