The Seine River bridgehead at Mantes-la-Jolie, Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. 19th August 1944. Having crossed the river, they are now in the town of Limay, where the US officer, Lieutenant Bacchus Stockridge of 'A' Coy, 314th Inf. Regt., 79th Inf.
